Nature Play WA, supported by Meerilinga, the Department of Education and the City of Cockburn, are excited to announce the FREE Children’s Week Nature Play Scavenger Hunt, held on Sunday 28th October at Manning Park, Hamilton Hill. Taking place alongside the City of Cockburn’s Spring Fair, this Children’s Week event is an absolute MUST for the whole family.
Nature Play Days offer families a chance to get their kids outside and mucking around. All of the activities are designed to be self-guided and encourage children to lead the way, and include elements of creativity, problem solving, adventure and fun. By downloading the Nature Play WA App free via iTunes or Google Play, families will be able to solve clues to find hidden markers that unlock activities and challenged which, when completed, reveal a secret message/code an the great news is there is no limit to the number of families that can take part in the hunt.
In addition to solving the Scavenger Hunt we have set aside an area for loose parts play; kite making and decorating, outdoor games; nature craft; and mud pie kitchens. The numbers in this area are limited and free tickets to complete this part of the event will be available closer to the day. Tickets are available from: https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=317346&bof=1
Don’t worry, there will still be a few hard-copy directions for those who do not have smart-phones or are running low on battery.
Bring your family and your friends down for a Scavenger Hunt to remember!
