Book Project Terms and Conditions

- The promoter is: Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation (ABN 60 366 468 001) whose registered office is at 22 Southport Street, West Leederville WA 6007.
- The project is open to residents of Western Australia aged 0 – 12 years
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this project.
- By entering this project, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- Route to entry for the project and details of how to enter are via the website www.childrensweekwa.org.au/book-project/. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
- Multiple children from one family can apply as separate entries.
- By entering the project, you warrant that:
- (a) Your entry is your original work (no tracing)
- (b) All details provided with your entry are true and accurate
- (c) Illustration encompasses all forms of hand drawn art but does NOT include photographic elements.
- To be eligible for selection your entry must only include original material created by you
- By submitting your entry to the promoter, you are giving all copyright of your story and artwork to Meerilinga Young Children’s Foundation to display in and promote the Children’s Week Book Project.
- Child must be between the ages of birth to 12 years at time of entry.
- Entrants may be contacted to further discuss their entry.
- Closing date for entry will be 11:59pm 31 August 2020. After this date the no further entries to the project will be permitted.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
- The rules of the project and how to enter are as follows:
- Visit the Children’s Week WA website via the Children’s Week Book Project Entry page: https://www.childrensweekwa.org.au/book-project/entry-form/ and complete the “Book Project Entry Form”.
- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the project and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a pandemic, catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the project will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
- The prize is as follows: Illustration and story published in book and receiving acknowledgment of their contribution to the story by being listed in the Children’s Book, in social media and on the Children’s Week WA website.
- Each winner will be sent their own copy of the published Children’s Week book free of charge.
- Winners will be selected based on age group, geographical location, creativity and originality.
- The selected entries will be revealed during the live read through of the final Children’s Week Books, with Briony Stewart on Wednesday 28 October 2020.
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the project will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- By entering this project, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The project and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
- The selected entrants agree to the use of his/her first name, home region and entry image in any publicity material, as well as displayed on the Children’s Week WA website and in the Children’s Week Book. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australia data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
- Entry into the project will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Meerilinga and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at https://www.meerilinga.org.au/website-privacy-statement/
